Baguio Sustainability Teaching Fellows
2025-2030
2025-2030
The Baguio Climate Action Labs invites academic and professional faculty to apply to join the inaugural cohort of the Sustainability Teaching Fellows program. This program will focus on addressing Baguio City's specific climate challenges, including sustainability, climate action, and climate justice.
We welcome Fellows who aspire to integrate and emphasize these themes in their teaching, research, regional and community engagement, and campus programs. The goals of the Sustainability Faculty Learning Community are twofold:
Individual Level: To deepen our understanding and articulation of sustainability, climate action, and climate justice while exploring how their intersections apply to our research, teaching, professional development, and programs.
Community Level: To foster strong partnerships and deep discourse across campus by supporting and coordinating our Sustainability Teaching Fellows cohorts as they co-create solutions with barangays, sectors, and community organizations in Baguio City. Through this collaboration, we aim to build a transdisciplinary curriculum that addresses Baguio’s most pressing environmental and social challenges, such as urban flooding, landslides, increasing temperatures, and disaster resilience.
